taoist-arts.com News: Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine (Posted 1/30/2002)
Veterinary Acupuncture has finally come to America. The basic principles of Chinese medicine which include promoting balance and natural equilibrium, have been applied to dogs, horses and even birds with surprising results.
New to most Americans, Veterinary acupuncture and herbal medicine have been successfully practiced in China for over 2000 years. Now considered an integral part of veterinary medicine by the AVMA, there are still few qualified practitioners. The Chi Institute is trying to bridge the gap by providing classes in Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine to licensed veterinarians.
This Florida based school offers a wide range of classes including some that will help the practitioners relax and better understand the wholistic Chinese approach. In order to fully prepare their students they provide exercises in Qi-gong and Tai Chi. Awesome!
For a list of their classes visit Chi Institute . |
