Business reforms, finances, trust and honesty will take precedence and there will be much discussion. Impressions count this year, and you will want to look and feel your best. Tap into Rooster traits of loyalty, commitment and charm. Take care of your health, embrace the changes and push through the difficulties, but take your time, be clear about your aims and think before you act. In the year of the Rooster, there is no middle road.

Year of the Rooster will bring criticism of individuals in public life and feathers may fly. Governments will be uncompromising in their demands, resentments will arise, emotions will heat-up and threats will be made. It will be particularly important this year to respect the other side, remain calm in adversity, stay true to your beliefs and act only when appropriate.

Rooster People are determined and passionate. They are healthy, hard working, multi-talented types who put their families first. These early rising individuals are observant, resourceful, highly motivated and lucky. They are talkative, eccentric and generous people, natural hosts who enjoy being the center of the parties they adore. Their unique ideas and problem solving ability can make them seem cocky, bossy and blunt, but they are just fired up with their own ideas and generally mean no harm. The best time of day for Rooster people is dusk, their favorite months have early sunsets. Good career choices are in singing and entertainment, public relations, sales and politics. If you are a Rooster your lucky numbers are 5, 7, and 8, your lucky flower is gladiola and your lucky colors are gold, brown and gold.

About the Lunar New Year
New Year is one of the most important holidays in China. It lasts 2 weeks; friends and relatives are visited, parades and festivities abound, houses are decorated, special foods are eaten and there are things to avoid. To bring wealth, happiness and fortune: eat dumplings, melon seeds and candy. Decorate your house with peach blossoms for luck, kumquat plants for prosperity and chrysanthemum for longevity. Open windows and doors to bring in good luck for the new year and put up red good luck symbols. Don't sweep the house, or you'll sweep out the benefits you've so carefully accumulated.
